"St Andrew’s College has had a number of ESOL students enrol in extra-curricular programmes at Alpha Educational Institute, with very pleasing results. The Institute can provide support with the English programmes students are being taught in their own schools. It is also especially valuable in giving them help with the skills of formal writing, which is an area many students find challenging in their NCEA assessments. The students are able to attend either weekly tutorials or can also enrol during their school holidays. Over time, all our students have shown a marked improvement in their English levels."
