TOEIC (Test of English for International Communication)

is an internationally recognized test that measures English language ability in the workplace in reading, writing, listening and speaking. This test is for Intermediate to Advanced Level learners of English who wish to prove their proficiency in Business English before they apply for employment.

Alpha is an authorised Training and Test center for Christchurch. You don't have to be a student at Alpha to sit the test.

The Listening and Reading test is held every 4 weeks on a Friday and the Speaking and Writing test is held 2 days before on a Wednesday. The test dates for 2013 are:

Candidates are required to be at Alpha Educational Institute in Christchurch no later than 12.30pm on the day of the test. The test will start at 1pm.

Candidates must give at least two weeks notice to book the test and there must be a minimum of three candidates in order for the test to be taken at Alpha.

What To Bring:

Candidates are required to bring a passport or driver's license and a Passport sized photo for inclusion on the report.

Car parking is available within the Bishopdale Shopping Center or you can catch the No. 15, 14, 10 Bus or the Orbiter.

Test Fees:

The fee for the Test is NZD$300 which includes an official TOEIC Certificate of Achievement.

The fee must be paid prior to the date of examination.

Test results are normally received within two weeks of sitting the test and will be mailed out to candidates at the address provided on the application form.
